Efectividad y Modificaciones Neurofisiológicas de la Reestructuración Neurocognitiva
Abstract

ABSTRACT
The functioning of the cerebral cortex is a very useful data for the evolution of patients with psychopathological disorders. The purpose of this research is to determine whether neurocognitive restructuring therapies produces changes in the computerized electroencephalogram (CEEG) records of patients with mental disorders. We report five clinical cases with the admitting diagnosis of chronic psychiatric derangement according to the DSM IV TR in regard to the following sequential conditions: 1.With medication, 2.With Medication and neurocognitive restructuring therapy. Brain activity was recorded by means of a computerized electroencephalogram (CEEG) brain activity was recorded at specific times of the study. Results the CEEG in both treatment approaches, taking into account the presence of theta waves and low voltage in frontal and temporal areas.
