Análisis de la Correspondencia entre Walter Blumenfeld y Edwin Boring (1956-1958): Aportes para la Historia de la PsicologÃa Experimental en el Perú

El artÃculo analiza la correspondencia inédita que mantuvieron el psicólogo de origen alemán, nacionalizado peruano, Walter Blumenfeld, considerado el fundador de la psicologÃa cientÃfica en el Perú, y el psicólogo estadounidense Edwin Boring, figura de la ciencia psicológica conocido gracias a sus investigaciones experimentales e históricas. Par tal efecto, se llevó a cabo un estudio de carácter descriptivo, realizándose el análisis cuantitativo y cualitativo de siete misivas que intercambiaron los personajes señalados en el periodo de 1956-1958. Se encontró que la comunicación tuvo como asunto principal la defensa de la naturaleza y pertinencia del libro Introducción a la PsicologÃa Experimental, además, se visualiza las circunstancias históricas que atravesaron la vida profesional de Blumenfeld, su condición de emigrado, su incorporación a la realidad peruana y la búsqueda de reconocimiento de su producción intelectual en el contexto internacional de la psicologÃa.

Abstract
The article analyzes the unpublished correspondence between Walter Blumenfeld--the german-born, peruvian nationalized psychologist considered to be the founder of scientific psychology in Peru--and the American psychologist Edwin Boring, notorious figure of psychological science known for his experimental and historical research. For this purpose, a descriptive mixed-methods study was conducted. The study carried out quantitative and qualitative analysis of seven missives exchanged between the two psychologists in the period between 1956-1958. It was evidenced that the main topic of communication was the defense of nature and the relevance of the book Introduction to Experimental Psychology. Also, a vizualisation is made of the historical circumstances that crossed W. Blumenfeld professional life, his condition as an inmigrant, his inclusion to the Peruvian reality, and his quest for recognition of his intellectual production in the international context of psychology.

Par o efeito, realizou um estudo descritivo, realizado análise quantitativa e qualitativa de sete missivas trocadas entre os personagens mencionados no perÃodo 1956-1958. Verificou-se que a comunicação teve como tema principal a defesa da natureza e relevância do livro Introdução à Psicologia Experimental também as circunstâncias históricas que cruzaram vida profissional Blumenfeld, sua condição migrado é exibido, juntando-se a realidade peruana e buscando o reconhecimento de sua produção intelectual no contexto internacional da psicologia.
