Abstract
Pocas personas entran a consulta psicológica o neuropsicológica diciendo que tienen un problema de atención, la mayorÃa de personas incluso jóvenes suelen señalar la memoria como la responsable de todos sus males cognitivos y demás; a menos que sea un padre o una madre hablando de su pequeño hijo o hija, que en pocas ocasiones realmente tiene un problema de atención mayor del que actualmente pueda tener alguno de sus dos progenitores. No obstante, en un mundo donde todo va de prisa y queremos exprimir las horas para hacer la mayor cantidad de tareas y trabajos posibles, donde ser exitoso ya no depende de tu CI (Coeficiente Intelectual), sino de una cantidad de habilidades cognitivas y sociales para alcanzar las metas propuestas y quizá tropezarse con la felicidad, reconocer el papel que juega la atención en nuestro dÃa a dÃa es de vital importancia.
