Abstract
El tratamiento del Dolor Crónico es interdisciplinario y complejo. No debe ser puramente farmacológico, ni físico, como tampoco solo orientado hacia el intervencionismo; por el contrario, se debe comprender como una experiencia emocional. De allí, una forma correcta de abordar el Dolor Crónico requiere y se beneficia del tratamiento psicológico. Esta aproximación psicológica necesita tanto profesionales como personas que sepan auto-gestionar sus dificultades individuales ante el Dolor CrónicoA este desafío es al que se orientan los trabajos de las Dra. Carolina Baeza-Velasco y la Dra. Catherine Bungener. Ambas profesoras de la Universidad Paris Cité e investigadoras en el Departamento de Urgencias y Post-urgencias Psiquiátricas en el CHU de Montpellier, y en los servicios de Psiquiatría y Neurología de la Pitié-Salpêtrière, respectivamente.
