Défices de reconhecimento emocional em populações clÃnicas e a sua reabilitação: uma revisão preliminar

O objetivo deste artigo assenta numa revisão de literatura sobre défices de reconhecimento emocional na esquizofrenia, autismo, depressão e indivÃduos com lesão cerebral traumática, colocando em evidência a forma como esta capacidade se encontra limitada nestes indivÃduos, bem como os défices presentes em diversas estruturas e redes neuronais que levam á génese e manutenção destas limitações; é ainda salientado a importância do aprimoramento desta capacidade em profissionais de saúde. Procuramos também evidenciar de que forma a expressão e leitura de emoções é essencial para uma melhor adaptação e funcionamento social, dando destaque à s principais teorias que explicam o processamento emocional a nÃvel fisiológico e neuropsicológico. Realizamos igualmente uma revisão sobre os principais softwares computacionais utilizados para reabilitação e intervenção em défices emocionais e uma breve nota sobre o processo de construção destes softwares. Defendemos assim o investimento cientÃfico nesta área em Portugal, dada a pertinência do reconhecimento emocional no funcionamento social de populações clÃnicas e no desempenho de profissionais de saúde, uma vez que não existe ainda, segundo a revisão efetuada, nenhum treino de reconhecimento emocional desta Ãndole em lÃngua portuguesa.

Abstract
The purpose of this article is to carry out a review of the main studies on emotional recognition deficits in schizophrenia, autism, depression and patients with traumatic brain injury, putting in evidence how this ability is limited in these individuals as well as the deficits present in several structures and neural networks that lead to these limitations; it’s also stressed the importance of enhancing this capacity in health professionals. We discuss how emotions are essential for a better social functioning, and address the main theories that explain the emotional processing at the physiological and neuropsychological level. We also include a note about the main software´s off rehabilitation and intervention in emotion recognition as well as an overview of its development procedures. We assert the need of scientific investment in this area in Portugal, considering its potential for clinical populations and health professionals. To our knowledge, emotional recognition training of this nature is not available in Portuguese language.

Se hace una revisión de la literatura centrado en los déficits en el reconocimiento emocional de los pacientes con esquizofrenia, autismo, depresión y en personas con lesión cerebral traumática, poniendo de relieve cómo esta capacidad se observa limitada en estos sujetos, asà como los déficits presentes en diversas estructuras y redes neuronales que estén a la base de estas limitaciones; también se busca destacar la importancia de mejorar estas capacidades de reconocimiento en los profesionales de la salud. Buscamos dejar en evidencia el cómo la expresión y la lectura de las emociones son esenciales para una mejor adaptación y funcionamiento social, subrayando las principales teorÃas que explican el procesamiento emocional al nivel fisiológico y neuropsicológico. También se lleva a cabo una revisión de los principales software utilizado para la rehabilitación y la intervención de los déficits emocionales con una breve nota sobre el proceso de construcción de este tipo de programas. Respaldamos la exploración cientÃfica en este campo en Portugal, dada la importancia del reconocimiento emocional en el funcionamiento social de las poblaciones clÃnicas y desempeño de los profesionales de la salud, una vez que no hay, de acuerdo con el análisis realizado, información sobre el reconocimiento emocional de esta naturaleza en portugués.
