Analysis of memory processes in women diagnosed with Turner syndrome; Theoretical and clinical implications.
Abstract

Abstract
The present study propose to characterize the profile of mnesic performance in women diagnosed with Turner syndrome, it Ìs a genetic disorder whose expression generates an atypical brain morphology that affects cortical and subcortical structu- res involved in memory. For evaluation of memory processes were administered Verbal Learning Test-Complutense Spain at adults and children / adolescents, and an experimental test of recognition of source, based on the paradigm versions of dissociation processes. The purposive sample of 23 women diagnosed with Turner Syndrome and their respective controls. The results show a mnesic differential profile whit deficit in memory processes rather than on recognition. The existence of shortcomings in implementation of criterios of coding and organized and effective search, which have limited memory information, is hypothesized. Determine to the differential mnesic deficits in women with Turner Syndrome diagnosis allow the design of clinical and psychoeducational interventions aimed at enhancing mnesic strategies to optimize the overall performance of the process, encouraging learning
