In Memoriam: Karl Pribram (1919-2015)
Abstract
RESUMEN
De sus investigaciones con primates plantearÃa el concepto de cerebro holográfico que señala que la organización de la anatomÃa cerebral, no permite que la información almacenada se ordene de manera azarosa, sino más bien, que está dotada de significado, por las interacciones de distintas partes del cerebro.
Durante una década se dedicó a la investigación experimental, introduciendo importantes métodos neuroquirúrgicos en el campo de la investigación animal. En 1958 Pribram se unió al Centro de Estudios Avanzados de Ciencias del Comportamiento en la Universidad de Stanford, donde se acrecentó su fama como neuropsicólogo e investigador, al analizar las relaciones entre el cerebro, la mente y la conducta.
